For years meditation and mindfulness have been found to help manage stress and anxiety and together we will develop tools and different techniques that you can use throughout your day.
Many different types and methods of meditation are offered.
Yoga Nidra is Sanskrit and translates to 'Yogic Sleep' but it is not the same as going to sleep. It is a state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep. In this state, participants can drop into Delta brainwaves and demonstrate all the symptoms of deep, non-REM sleep while still remaining fully conscious. Yogis say that 45 minutes of Nidra is as restorative as 3 hours of sleep because the body is so deeply relaxed and is not dreaming. All you have to do is lie back, listen, and relax. It is really that simple!
A practice of meditation is a goal that many people struggle to achieve. It can be frustrating and difficult to quiet the constant chatter of our minds and our everyday stresses. I have found one of the best ways for people to relax the mind and restore the body is with a guided practice called Yoga Nidra. In this guided practice, participants can add their own intentions to create a personalized and restorative experience.
iRest® stands for Integrative Restoration. These Yoga Nidras have been developed by Dr. Richard Miller and the Integrative Restoration Institute. Research indicates that that iRest® effectively alleviates, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, depression, chemical dependency, and PTS(D).
In each yoga session variations of poses are offered based on the student's ability and physical limitations.
The types of yoga I offer are Beginner, All-Level, Gentle, Restorative, Prenatal, and Yoga for Cancer.
I can bring all the equipment you'll need to every session. No need for you to buy anything!
